ROE Dental Laboratory Introduces ArchBridge for Overdenture™, a Fully Digital Overdenture Solution With No Models, Chairside Pickups or PVS Records

PR Newswire

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio, Oct. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — ROE Dental Laboratory has introduced ArchBridge for Overdenture™, a patent-pending, fully digital scanning system and workflow designed for both fixed and removable overdenture cases. Clinicians capture attachment positions intraorally with six reusable titanium scan bodies. Which allows the overdenture housings to be placed in the prosthesis under controlled laboratory conditions, with no poured models, analogs or chairside pickup!

Digital workflows have simplified many restorative procedures, but scanning a complete edentulous arch with implant sites is still a challenge. Building on its Grammetry™ full-arch scan body system, ROE designed the ArchBridge scan bodies and libraries around the abutment attachment itself. Each of the six scan bodies has its own geometry, giving the scanner a distinct reference point at every position. The scan bodies press-fit directly onto the overdenture abutments, and tactile seating confirms when they are ready to scan. A sandblasted titanium surface reduces reflection to support reliable optical capture.

“Overdentures are a great solution for patients, but the traditional workflow is time consuming and costly for the practice,” said BJ Kowalski, CEO of ROE Dental Laboratory. “We kept receiving cases where we couldn’t confidently determine the attachment positions from the digital data, so we built a scan body system to solve that problem. Now the doctor scans, sends us the records, and we provide a definitive denture, ready for insertion.”

In the past, the biggest change for the clinician happens at delivery. ROE positions and cures the housings in the lab, so the accuracy of the attachment placement no longer depends on chairside procedures. This replaces the chairside blockout and intraoral acrylic pickup, along with the rework that follows when a housing binds or a spacer shifts during cure.

ArchBridge is compatible with most major overdenture systems. It supports several workflows, including replacing an existing overdenture, converting a healing denture, and converting a removable overdenture to a fixed hybrid. The kit can be autoclaved between patients and comes with spacers and placement tools.

ArchBridge for Overdenture kits are available now at roedentallab.com, along with a free ArchBridge for Overdenture guide in digital or print format.
